I was able to get a hold of an UG007 3 days ago and have been testing out the different features it has. Since I am living in a hotel for a week I was not able to properly test the network streaming until yesterday when I decided to just buy a router to create a LAN in my hotel room.
I am using win7 and have shared a folder with some mp4 and avi videos in it. Using ES File Explorer to access the LAN shares. I can browse and copy files over without a problem. When I try to open a video and play with MX videoplayer or the built in android video player, I get "Cannot play video." I have tested that the network streaming works using my android phone also through ES File Explorer.
So it seems the UG007 is missing something to allow it to play video files over the network. Hope there is a fix for this soon.
