Chinese New Year 2015 is Approaching, so be prepared

Here's just a friendly reminder to FT users.

The Chinese New Year is a major holiday period throughout China. This is when most of the country takes a vacation/holiday and not much work gets done.

This year it runs from February 14 through February 25.

It's my experience that deliveries of electronic products are delayed during the holiday. Please don't blame our sponsors/vendors for these delays....it's just how things work in China. You may have noticed that some presell items are marked for availability after 2/25....that's the reason why. Not only the vendors take a break...it's the manufacturers, too.

Each year, I read rants from our members who complain about not receiving their products in a timely manner during this time. So please just try to understand, and save your keystrokes.

You might consider getting rush delivery on items ordered before 2/14...or just wait to order anything until after 2/25 if you don't want to wait for it.

Also, customer service is a challenge during Chinese New Year...you may not receive immediate contact from vendors...this is a normal occurrence...every year.

Just another reminder. After today, don't plan on much activity from our friends in China until 2/25.
