    Plex client on mk808

    Hello,

I tried Plex Client on MK808 but it seems that it is lagging, I can not watch 1080 or even 720 continuously.
Have you tried Plex (or XBMC) on your MK808, any advice?

    No Problems Here

PLEX works great for me. I like it better then XBMC.
As for streaming, you need to find a bit rate your router and PC can handle smoothly.
Everyone's system will vary on what it can handle. My router can handle over 100Mbps.
Here are my setting that work with no lag at any format 720p and 1080p.

Go into user setting in the plex app on your device.
Test the highest setting you can under Video Quality.
If your system can't handle a hi bit rate, set it lower UNTIL it plays smooth.
I set mine at 20Mbps for Local Plex Media Server (over wifi).
On Remote Server set to 1.5Mbps (over 3g).

    Under Addvanced Setting...
Secondary Media Player... set to Plex OpenGL Player
Transcode... set to Use Http Live Streaming
    Direct Play... Enabled
A/V off set... set to your preference.... I set it at -200
Device Supports HLS... set to box Cheeked
Enable Direct Streaming... set to box Cheeked

On a side note some users are experiencing wifi signal drops, stalls and disconnects.
This could be your problem if you do not have a good consistant wifi signal with your device.
Using a usb ethernet adapter could solve that problem. I would consider that first and
figure out if your device has that problem. It is a common problem with the mk808 and Ug802.

    That's it

Thank you very much for your detailed response.
I am more convinced that it is beacuse of the wifi connection quality. my Mk808 is behind the TV and the signal is not so good.
In Plex I have exactly the same settings like you, and on other machines in the same network everything works perfect.... So I have to see with this connection speed.

I don't have an UTP cable behind the TV ...Do you think if I will buy an external WIFI dongle will change anything ?Thanks
