    (IDEA)Mali 400 GPU Overclock?

    Hey Guys,

I just found out that the Samsung Galaxy SII uses the MALI-400 GPU, and can be overclocked from 250mhz to 267mhz-400mhz! using the Tegrak Overclocker App.

Now Imagine if this app works on our devices!!! I wouldn't mind overclocking the GPU to 267mhz for some extra 3D performance!
Although I can't test it at the moment, as I am stuck at work.

But if anyone wants to test this out, please post your feedback, as I'm currious to know and would greatly appreciated it. ( I don't expect the CPU overclocking to work, but the GPU 267mhz Lock is what i'm hopping for )

I have the SGS2 Sprint variant and I can tell you this is not a good idea. The reason being is my phone became very hot and started to lock up and then for a few weeks after the OC, and killing the OC taking it back to 250, I had weird glitches that would occur. I still have one of them today in which the screen will only paint half the screen until I reboot. It is also not rom dependent as I have jumped through 5 different roms since the OC and all of them do this.

If you attempt this you will need some active cooling.

Hmm I see, thanks for the feedback.

As for active cooling, I made a case for the MK808 with 2 Fans (Push & Pull system).
But thanks for the warning, as I am kinda skeptical about this OC as well.
