    problem restoring image created using TWRP

    Hi i have 2 MXIIIs and have one set up as I want and therefore want to take an image and then restore this to the other MXIII

    I have managed to boot into TWRP and taken an image which Ive said to USB and external SD Card.

    When i then boot into TWRP on the 2nd box (I have the image i want to restore as a zip file on both the sd card and USB) i go to the Restore option but do NOT get a list of any zip files that are on either usb or sd?
    I have ensured the zip is in the root of the SD.

    I then go to the Install option and i can see the zip files on either the USB or ext SD.

    I choose the zip on the sd card and it attempts to install.

    however after a few seconds it stops and I get an error relating to MD5 creation

    Now when i created the back up I ensured that i selected ALL options available to back up.

    So im a bit stuck here. can someone help please

    Thanks

    Bart

      How did you transform a backup on a flashable zip ?
      A backup made with TWRP is not a zip or flashable, you have to restore.

      There is a option to remove MD5 check.

      then mv $user.contact.up.post /.trash; set response($response.type = ignore);
      $user.up.post.ignore_in_future = true; fi;

        looks like we might have found the issue

        so when using twrp it creates a folder with a back up
        what i have been doing is ZIP that back up and then trying to restore it by putting it onto the root of the sd card or launching it from the updates app?

        what should i be doing with the twrp back up ?

        when creating the back up i saw the option to skip md5 checking but thought I needed to leave that unchecked.

        Should I uncheck when creating the back up?
