But did you flash stock rom also? You need stock rom and recovery to update to MIUI. Here is V1.8 stock rom which you can flash via SP Flash Tool. This is the OTA version of stock V1.8.

Did what you suggested has previously I hadn't used the stock 1.8 rom. However, no luck for me I'm afraid. Same thing happens - goes through what seems like the update but still boots back into stock. I'm beginning to wonder whether this rom is genuine or not.

Sorry folks. Haven't really got the energy to carry on so going back to Lepi's 2.0.

It took me more than a week to figure it out. All you got to do is download the MIUI RECOVERY (it patches somehow the TWRP recovery) and then you can clean flash the rom. I just installed it and i'll see how it goes.

I installed few weeks ago. Don't bother guys. Played for few hours and restored back to 1.9. Very lagy. Looks like it's ported from phone, everything is scaled like it's a phone. Of cause it is fixable but still. Anyway who wants I can explain how I did it.

I find it smoother than any other rom i've used on my u65gt, to be honest. You can change the dpi if you want a different optical density. Smoothness on UI and launcher is what made me keep this rom. The only negative is the numerous Chinese bloatware which I've frozen for now

You have to delete everything till line started with "show_progress(0.500000, 0); " in META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script inside of CUBE_U65GT_MIUI_6_2015.02.07[ccfly_89].zip file. If you will asked for password, password is - ccfly_99 Then save zip file and flash with usual wipes in any recovery. I used CWM, had no luck with TWRP with this ROM.

Is 3G working?

What is the password for file. ccfly_99 is not working for me. All files inside zip is pass protected, i dont think recovery could install it without cleaned from passwrds.
