Do you have to turn the mk808 off and is it bad to just cut power?

Just wondering if it´s ok to leave the stick running all the time. And if not, is it really ok to just kill it by cutting power. Ive tried to power off using that option in the reboot app but that just freezes the mk808.

Mine shutsdown and reboots fine.

Using 1.5A

Not sure if its safe to unplug, but i heard it can cause data corruption.

Odd that the power off function on my MK808 actually works.

But if it is not working for you what I would do is choose the reboot option. Then right after the screen shuts off, unplug it.

The only option to turn it on is to plug it in.

I soldered a switch to the USB charging cable, so I can turn it on/off without unpluging it.

Or get a specific Powered USB hub with a Fast Charging Port (2A) that has an on/off switch.

This may be a dumb question, but I hear many of you talking about a reboot app/option on the mk808., how do I do it or where do I find it? I've navigated different settings but can't find it at all.

currently using Finless 1.5a.

its pretty bad to it doesnt have on/off button on the device... its hard to unplug power everytime...
