Sorry, I digress. does anybody have any ideas . i have opened them and nothing seems loose. My initial failure I saw coming as the picture started to tear and "Bubble?" I tried the plug and with a little pressure it improved but as soon as it was released went bad again. within 2 days the picture would not come back. I have 1 customr who is a close friend who tied it with rubber bands and has been going for months since. so I'm pretty sure of the cause. tried diff. cords and tvs as was suggested

Vega s89 hdmi issues
Hope someone can help. my 2nd and 3rd last orders from Geekbuying were for Vega s89 elite. wastold my order was on hold because their QC team noticed some problems and were conferring with Tronsmart about it. they finally sent my order and said there were some probs with the HDMI ports. when my order arrived they had sent Standards instead of Elites. I sent an email to my sales rep because as well they had sent my accompanying Rii i8 remotes in white, and asked that they not send Standards or white remotes. Next order, same thing. emailed to complain again. again no comment. I have since started ordering the Orion R28. in the last month the vegas have started coming back with no HDMI . all Standards and the only other prob like this I had about 11 mos ago with a single Standard that I had ordered my self to test from another vendor because after ordering from GB they told me they were "presell" thats when I went to the Elite. Many sold no probs.

Another Victim of No HDMI on Vega s89
I bought the above unit on may 28 last year 3 weeks back it started to loose HDMI signal and now its no video on HDMI.
Past 6 months for free return for repair. I did pay 2.99 extra when unit bought but as per customer support only good for DOA on for local US return.
After few emails to customer support back and forth I came to realize the fact if you buy overseas you eat the unit if it dies. They do not cover the shipping for the repair.
So not to spend extra $50 shipping on a $ 80 unit, I opened up the unit and tried to reflow the solder at HDMI pins 19 in total. To access all the pins I had to break the back tab on the HDMI connector. I was able to get HDMI signal back but once all screws back on the signal come and go when I move the connector. So it was a not a clean success.
Did any one had real success in reflowing the solder. I am even thinking of attaching an HDMI cable as a pigtail after removing the HDMI receptacle.
Any way I learned a lesson from overseas purchases, will think twice next time

If you want to return the product to repair, you don't need to pay $50 shipping fee, we recommend you Choose the cheapest regular airmail with tracking number ( NO DHL, NO UPS or other fast shipping, as it's very hard for us to do the clearance in HK custom( not as easy as your country) and it will take 2 weeks or even longer to plus the high tax ).

I hade ordered vega s89 elites because of probs with Standards (of which I still have 1 or 2 unsold).
I was willing to let the first order pass but when the next came Standard as well , I decided to buy something or somewhere else. I am very happy so far with the orion R28 even tho the Rii i8 remotes I have been using for most of my Tronsmart products is not compatible, but I can use them elsewhere i think. I have ordered the Mele 25 deluxe in hopes it will work well (3270988)
I sent one vega s89 back to china at a cost of $11-12 , without tracking. with tracking cost was $48. How am i supposed to reconcile that?
