Keyboard keys not working

Hello house was wondering if you could be of help to me. I bought the cubetalk 9x (a nice tablet I must say) and I've flashed Lepi's 2.0 ROM on it; however, since I bought it some keys on the physical keyboard that came with the tablet has refused to work, I even returned the keyboard and got another, but still got the same issue. Initially, I thought it was just a problem with the batch of keyboards supplied to the distributor until I tried using my Microsoft 800 wireless keyboard on it only to find the same issue. So am asking you as an experts in Android issue, if there is a fix for this problem and if yes, how do I go about fixing it? Thank you in anticipation of your response. Regards, Francis

It has been discussed a lot.
this is due to the gesture enabled. I'm not interested on external keyboard so I didn't read well and I cannot help you more, but what I know is that this issue has been solved disabling gestures (if I remember well).
Read better the thread relevant to LEPI's roms or stock V.2.0 too (they share the same issue with external keyboards).

I can't see an obvious way to switch gestures on or off (except to redefine them individually as doing nothing).
Or am I missing something?

Lepi sent me a link with a patch which installed and voila! All keys are working fine.

Ps. It is really shame that I can't edit the "Cube Talk 9X [U65GT] roms/recoverys/mods etc. list" thead's first post anymore to add these things to there. I have tried to contact moderators but got no answer.

Instead of modifying the generic.kl file, one can also create a keyboard layout file for that particular device using the following template. On my T9, the file name must be in small cap.
