M8 Square: Found a Bug Involving Pandora.APK and Audio Dropping

I wonder if anyone else had the same issues, so far I have been able to replicate the problem 10 times in a row. (Pandora Causing Audio to drop on video playback, and XBMC interface)

I installed Pandora.apk from Google Store.
    1. I log into Pandora
    2. Begin playing audio
    3. Pause it
    4. Go to the Home Screen
    5. Start XBMC
    6. Navigate to any Video
    7. Begin Playing

    Then the following happens:
    1. No Audio from XBMC or any other Video Player
    2. Playback has very jumpy frame-rates, almost like its 30fs for 2 seconds then 10 for 1 second, alternating
    3. User Interface seems to lose audio too.
    4. Once I go to my App-killer and stop the Pandora.apk the audio returns to normal

    Solution for now:
    • Uninstall Pandora APK and use the addon from XBMC
    • Freeze Pandora.apk from loading

    Other Thoughts:
    • It seems to also happen when Pandora is randomly running in background
    • Not necessarily because it was started by the user.

    Device Info:
    • Model: M8 KitKat
    • Build: KOT49H.20141009 test-keys
    • Kernel: 3.10.33 Nov 14 2014
    • Board Version: M9&M8_V0.92 201/03/12
    • Using HDMI for Audio and Video.

I'm no expert on either, but I have been using both recently. The new Pandora app is very crashy.

I installed SPMC and TVMC and when I ran the both at the same time, one would mute itself even if the other wasn't playing anything. I could press the volume up from my remote, but it would just go back down. Found that shutting the other version off would fix it. I think that XBMC and variants will automatically defer to other apps on volume, so there is no conflict. I'm not sure how to give it priority.

Do you get the same result with other apps like spotify or tunein?

Will have to install Spotify and Tunein to test with. But I will have results by tomorrow latest. I will perform it on 3 versions of the motherboard running different firmwares to compare results. Will report my findings back here. I am also working on elevating XBMC permissions, maybe that will fix the problem.
