So I've been playing it for a few days now. Here's my impressions:

WiFi isn't working. Sits at Refreshing Access Point list. Going to the actual Android settings screen, its asking me to turn WiFi on. When I do, the the message doesn't change, and the slider remains grey.

IR sensor or remote isn't working, had to use a USB mouse and keyboard.

Ethernet is working, which is a huge plus and makes this the only MXQ rom other than stock build that does. Unfortunately, it continuously disconnects. I have to go back to the settings screen and turn it back on.

The opening video, while neat, is loud and piercing, and it slows down boot times.

There are still bits of Chinese android floating around. One noticeable part is when you open the stock browser. Typing anything in the keyboard results in Mandarin characters.

Miracast doesn't work. Its asking to enable P2P in settings?

Everything else looks good thusfar. Its using much less ram then the stock build

I've learned recently that there are at least two variants of the MXQ (no button) S805 box. One of them is the original made by ENY or Acemax and there are no WiFi/Ethernet issues with that box. The other(s) has a different chip set and having these issues. I'm considering posting two different MXQ S805 ROM and hope that one or the other will resolve the issues you're having with (what I call) non-original MXQ boxes

I'm surprised the remote doesn't work as most boxes are still using the same factory code. If you have the original firmware for the box, I can look into that further for you.

That's the first complaint about the boot video. Unfortunately it's here to stay.

Would you be able to share where you bought the box? Is is possible to get a clear picture or two of the PCBA? (inside the box). Feel free to post here or send PM.

I've only tested the ROM on the Bluetooth model thusfar. I'll try to get pics of the board tonight, if not, it'll have to wait until Monday.

What's the best way to rip a copy of the stock rom? Haven't done it yet. Will recovery have an option like that?

I'm sorry if it wasn't made clear in the original post. This ROM will not be for S85 boxes with button on top. I understand there is good development happening for these boxes here on freaktab
