Help with mk808b plus recovery

Hi guys
My stick works basically fine but I am unable install rooms due to reset not working
It doesnt reset when stick is running and doesn't boot into any of the recoveries I've tried. This includes files 1.1 and 109k4 using the zip and Ota .Img variants. I've tried the update app with all of these and tried recovery (Petreus) app
So what else can I try? I'm not very geeky. I hesitate to erase device. I did format the card with a suggested app. I'll reach out to the seller but have read all the threads applicable to installation problems

Try using the recovery.img file from the 107k4 stock rom.

Thanks It was a birthday present tonight so it may be a while till I can do this
This is the rom that is on it now. Perhaps it is corrupted?
