Step by Step instruction for using USB-WLAN Dongle to speedup MK808

Is there anybody able to tell me how to use an USB-Wlan-Dongle to speedup MK808 WIFI ?

I have no idea how to do that, asked allready for an other Driver for my Tenda W311U using RALink RT3070 Chipset, but got no answer. So i thought i'll buy an USB-Wlan Dongle decribed in the how to build a driver -> here (bought this one) and tried to do so as desribed, but it wount work for me.

    what i did:
    downloaded rtl8192cu.ko.zip extracted the archive
copied the file using es-explorer to /system/lib/modules/rtl8192.cu.ko
    i gave permissions "rw- r-- r--" as i saw set on rkwifi.ko
    then i typed in terminal
    :su
    :insmod /system/lib/modules/rtl8192cu.ko
here i get an error-message "insmod init_module '/system/lib/modules/rtl8192cu.ko' failed no such file or directory"

what i need is a step by step description ...

    please help

You can download a huge driver pack --> here <--

        Realtec RTL8192CU can be found here --> rtl8192cu.zip <--

It isn't easy to install the recommended driver, copy and paste doesn't work !

if you still want use finless rom. follow below steps:
you do not have to use linux for this:
        (1) on mk808,settings, usb settings. enable connect to pc.
        settings,developer settings,enabl adb.
        (2) on you pc
download and install mk808 driver, android sdk(we use adb, make sure you know how to use it. find some guidlines if you dont
        (3) on pc run "adb devices " in a command shell. if you dont see your mk808 listed. make sure you have installed drivers and there is a "0X2207" line. in you userdirectory\.android\adb_usb.ini

        (4) on pc ,run "adb remount" then "adb push rtl8192cu.ko /system/lib/modules/rkwifi.ko" in command line.

        (5) on pc, run "adb reboot" in command line.

        (6) check if wifi works.
that's what "rainlake" from www.ArmTvTech.com told me how to install RTL8192CU WIFI-Chipset driver.

afterwards i installed his CyanogenMod 10 which has the RTL8192CU WIFI-Chipset driver enabled by default

Thanks a lot for the download link and instructions. Can you please suggest if it is worth doing that or shall I switch over to CyanogenMod 10 ? Whats your experience with it ?

As "Winows-User" i tried to install this driver on FinlessBob's Rom by "Copy & Paste" and then i tried "insmod ..." this driver. I do not know anything about using ADB.
Now i know it doesn't work this way, you have to use ADB to move the Driver to the required directory.
Also i don't know if they are using the same Kernel, so i installed CyanogenMod10, where this driver is enabled by default.

                @rassmate

as i already mentioned, i'm a Windows-User and had great difficulties on installing the required driver for my Tenda-Wifi-Dongle (it can be found within the great driverpack linked above). I didn't try if my Tenda-Stick works using CyanogenMod 10.
I choosed the easy way and bought a Wifi-Dongle using a RTL8192CU chipset, which is supported out of the box.

I've tried these drivers, but it looks like they are compiled for another kernel? Do you know if CM10 has drivers for other realtec chipsets too? Or can you point me to different drivers?

                  Thanks in advance

                        Wlan.ko uknown symbol err 0

I know this thread is old but hope get an answer.

In my case I made work 8192cu.ko but now I have problems with "wlan.ko" I tried several wlans but none work.

                        Sometimes wlan says:
                        1. Unknown symbol _rockchip_wifi_(init or exit)_module (err 0)
                        2. xxx...x..x..x.... "should be 3.0.8+ SMP preempt mod_unload ARMv7"

well in another thread I found this link http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...Downloads=true the problem is that I do not know nothing about linux or something like that. Hope someone can help me.

                        Edit:
Forgot to say that I'm running 3.0.8+ kernel on Android 4.1.1
