- kodi 14.1.
- themed Boot &amp; splash screen
- fixed issues with some 4k screens from what I have been told
- improved net speeds maxes mine out
- UI tweaks more responsive
- Added all the Facebook,Tweeter, Instagram &amp; all Google stuff back and are current till date.
- Joypad Xbox & PS3, other should now also work (haven't tested it)
- Properly rooted
- + more tweaks

Known Issues

- intial flash there is 30 to 90 second blank screen while box configs it self don't panic.

Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master Audio and DTS HD not working correctly???

Hello JustMe. I am curious about your latest release. Don't want to pay for something if it doesn't work. I have purchased two M8 boxes. One says it's an M8 and the other an M8N. Remotes are different as expected. I bought these boxes because they specifically stated they support Dolby TrueHD and DTS MA. I have a 7.1 surround system and movies using TrueHD and DTS MA. I have tried all your Roms 1.6b 1.6c 1.5v2 and none of them will play TrueHD or DTS MA correctly. My denon reciever will never light up the correct audio type. I do believe it is playing the correct Audio but it just doesn't send the right signal to the denon to tell it what type it is. The denon usually says its playing a lesser quality but also states its a PCM signal and actually is outputting to either 7.1 channels or 5.1 depending on the source material. So I trust the boxes can play TrueHD nd DTS MA but for whatever reason Kodi is not sending it the right info. It's the same when using the droid apps to play the movie. But in Kodi I choose 2.0 and pass through and Dolby n DTS capable receiver in audio options. I've tried 3 versions of Kodi and two versions of SPMC. All not reporting correct audio to my reciever. I have tried Kodi 14.1 on openelec and the windows version and they both have the expected results (logos lighting up on reciever) when playing back HD Content so I know my reciever works right. OpenElec works great on an Intel NUC but on the m8 even though it has TrueHD n DTS MA tick marks in audio settings in Kodi it chokes on TrueHD. I've tried everyone else's roms, finless, mediaman, megaton, stock (China), and all have mixed results. Some can't even play the TrueHD format, just skip n pause and or no audio at all, so it makes me feel it may have to do with the firmware, since I had tried the same versions of Kodi and SPMC across the board with mixed results. openElec adds TrueHD and DTS MA capable reciever bullets under audio in Kodi. Though The android version of Kodi never shows those options. Maybe this is why? You have any thoughts or ideas on this? Can you test this for me? You can download clips in TrueHD and DTS MA from demoworld and try it out. Do you have a high end AVR that supports TrueHD to test on? These m8's are so close to being perfect little boxes especially with the roms you JustMe and mediaman have created. I was so happy until I moved from my 5.1 setup in bedroom to my 7.1 main theater setup. I will say if you have a 5.1 theater then these M8s with JustMe or media man roms on them they are fantastic. Just hope there's a fix for TrueHD. They are marketed as TrueHD and DTS MA capable. I was so excited when I saw your custom xbmc 13.2 splash screen which had TrueHD and DTS MA logos on it! Thought for sure it would work, but alas, no go. Or not just quite right yet. Can I do anything to help troubleshoot? I have put a good 24-36 hours into testing all roms n xbmcs and kodis n spmcs and m8 vs m8ns I feel I have tried all options. Maybe your latest rom v3 does it right?
thanks for your efforts and look forward to your reply and maybe assisting in figuring it out. Seems like it's a doable task since the boxes with some roms do actually play the audio. My stock roms did not play any TrueHD or DTS MA audio from them at ALL until I started trying out custom roms.

Skydave I wish i could answer your question, unfortunately I cannot as i don't have amp to test with, mate mine is audiiophilie and he maybe able to help me with it if he is around this week due to Chinese holidays, unless one of the members who has this rom and amp could post away.

SD Read/Write works well though i would post to stop my pm getting chocked up

The read/write issue was fixed from 1.6B Media ROM till current also no need for wake me up scottie there is proper sleep/wake up.

Some Comment and Feedback from some member on 1.5v3

Just wanted to drop you a line about this version. Install went well and all components work. Nice job .40 years in IT gives a guy some edge in troubleshooting. cj

So far so great, this version more likely stable version….I believe it good to go for wherever you like it gone…..

1. I run couple different 4K files (between 1GB up to 6GB) on SD and HDD…They all good on my Samsung 55” UHD / 240Mh Motion
2. Kodi 14.1 upto 15.0 Alpha (2015/02/26)…GREAT (Still have bugs on 15 but it look good for now.

My son just found out one small issue “The screen switching down to bottom right…or screen zoom bigger”

There is two ways to reproduce this issue:

1. Hookup the box to big screen TV 60” play awhile (about 1 hr), then turn off unplugged then move to small TV 32”
2. While move playing, click on video setting (the icon next to Audio icon (those icon is on bottom time-shift)

Change View Mode….Stretch 16.9 to any mode then play and change again to other mode..
Now back to default mode (Stretch 16.9), then back to move..
