    Model CS918 stuck in standby.

Hi Guys, My CS918 seems to be stuck in standby. When i plug it in and press the on button i get the red standby mode, but nothing i do after that turns the box on, so no blue button as of yet. Then after a short time the red light goes as well. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem with this model.
    Thank you, Robert.

did you try to flash a custom rom to it if you did then you will need to either place the devices in flash mode and flash the stock firmware back to the device if the devices is not reading then you will need to enter mask mode by shorting out the pins 8,9 on the board and erase idb and reflash stock firmware i had this happen to me on a few CS918 while trying all of the firmwares in this section

Hi, thank you for your reply. Did you mean that the boxes are in standby, IE red light only before you flash the firmware. Also what method did you use to flash firmware to the box, SD card and press reset etc, or connect to the computer through the Rockchip terminal program. Thank you, Robert.

Not even a red light now.

Well, i eventually managed to upgrade the firmware on my TV box and all was working as it should. I was quite pleased that, with your help and a bit of patience i got there in the end. Problem now is there is no sign of life in the box, and no red or blue light showing, nor anything showing on the TV screen. Any ideas please. Thank you. Robert.

rule out the power supply first, take a multimeter to the live end, if its putting out proper voltage then throw the unit away and get another.
