I think urs is the same revision of mine:

and I still have that rebooting problem (tried to fix an heatspreader but have no thermal pad, only some paste.... it'll be better to remove the current pad and put a new one to fix the heatspreader... but wn't spend any money on this till I solve the issue with the rom.

Just a heads up do not ever buy the 1 gb ram versions of these boxes they are all absolute crap and no support or custom roms..............the 2gb versions are usually ok but verify with the seller that they are the original Q7 version demand to see a pic of the motherboard they are selling and check version number on this forum..........sorry you wasted your money this model became way to popular and the clonners turned out thousands of crap boxes to the uneducated. I have been reselling this model for a long time and the original models are very good but you have to know what your buying.........just a heads up.

          Cheers,
          Vec

tbh I won mine on a draw so I didn't pay for it, otherwise I would have asked for a refund immediately after finding out this is mostly useless...

i found something, using messages with the e-sellers, but actually i'm on a very crappy connection, and too far from the machine to try something (actually working at 200km from my parents house).
The guy gave me this link : http://pan.baidu.com/s/1sjyQxNv?qq-pf-to=pcqq.group
it's on a chinese website, you can download a .img here, clicking on the button who have a arrow pointing down "下载(651.2M)", then a windows appears, and click on the second button, the white one
If you can try it and give feedback i would really appreciate it, if not, i'll try it in few weeks.
              Here's the e-sellers message :
"Would you please kindly open the links and load them to your computer? Then you connect the item and open the RKBatchTool.rar. Finally, you need to drug the software(http://pan.baidu.com/s/1sjyQxNv?qq-pf-to=pcqq.group) in RK."
              Have a nice day

For my device rebooting problem was processor overheating. There is a way of device upgrade:
