    1. I cut two holes - one in the top and one in the bottom of the case.
    2. I put black wire mesh of an old computer case inside over the holes to provide that dust enters inside the case of the box.
    3. I put thermal silicone paste on the cpu instead of the cooling pad.
    4. I cut a ring of grey foam to reduce the vibration of the ventilator and I stuck it with superglue on the top of the box.
    5. I stuck the usb fan with superglue on the top of the foam ring.

You see the results of the running machine:
    - base temp is about 36 ° C (ambient 22° C)
    - in Antutu mostly about 42 °C
    - highest temperature in Antutu 53 ° C

Price for the mod 8,90 € for the cooler

    The Rest are recycled materials.

Scooby snacks for your efforts. Seriously though, You have probably extended the life of your box and improved its performance and stability too.
I like my electronics to run cool, so I too modded for reduced temps.
You get points for re-purposing materials too.
    Good job.

Thanks. Yes I read about an amount of these machines dying after some months. I think it´s the insufficient cooling design of most of them. With the second point I agree, too. The long run performance (VOD streaming) will go down in an overheated system.

The good thing is, that these boxes are very cheap and with some work (here about 45 minutes) you can easily optimize them.

The box turns around with a nice hip move. I let the box work for me.
