I recommend MX3 2G

I have MX3 2G and my experiences are good - especially with the latest Finless 2.1 ROM. Highly stable, highly compatible and I mean, that you will have also more custom roms to select than with M8. The only thing I am missing is really working Flash support, but this is the same for all Android 4.4 devices (including my HTC M8 phone).

I have bought a tronsmart s89-h and 3 mxiii 2gb. Finless 2.1 on all of them. And it does exactly what it should/can.
Some apps don't work, that is the app not the firmware.
What is wrong with mxiii 1gb?

MX3 1G
Nothing is really wrong with it, other than I can't use the finless rom..lol. I have a custom rom from mediaman on it, works ok. Sometimes if you leave Kodi running for awhile, and come back later in the day, if you select something to watch, there is audio but no video. I have to restart Kodi to get video again. I've played with a few different roms, including amlinux. I'd just like the 2G model to play with.

Since you already own an MXIII, I would say get an M8 or one of the other similar boxes. I do think 2GB RAM is worth the premium for any of the Android mini PCs, so whatever you get, be sure it has 2GB RAM. I do own the MXIII with 2GB/8GB and have never played with an M8 so I can't offer a comparison but I don't think one is really any better than the other.
