cs918 video quality

here is a link to the one i bought . after hooking it up and installing some apps and watching a hd movie on showbox the picture quality is very poor compared to the mx2 using showbox watching the same movie
would different software here on hd video quality? or does this unit have just ok video

i have several cs918s and an mx2 and i always thought the cs918 was head and shoulders better picture quality.

I will have to see what's going on. But the pic isn't that good.

check your hdmi output settings maybe, make sure you have 1080 checked.

I played around and this is what I done and pic quality approved .
I was using my power supply from a MX gbox 5 v 2amp out. Looked at the power supply that came with unit and was 5v 3a output
By switching power supplies this improved pic quality.
I wouldn't think this would effect pic ,

Hi all, i am having the same issues with this box, i played a couple of movies and i noticed these things:
- on SD content many artifacts are visible (codec issue?)
- on HD content the quality improves but the movie is not much fluid

i use kodi 14.1 and i checked hw decoding is enabled.
I used to have an amlogic board and the quality was better...
asap i ll try some other players maybe is something due to Kodi..

edit:
i tried also different players and the issue is still present so its not due to kodi..
