    Which XBMC/Kodi ?

    Hi,

    I am using a Tronsmart S89 Elite. I am using Finless 2.0. Which XBMC version should I use ?

    I installed Kodi 14.1 latest stable. But was having stuttering with some videos. I had all three codecs turned on i.e amcodec, libstagefright and mediacodec.

    Any suggestion ?

    Thanks a lot for any help.

    I use tvmc it has navi-x genisis phoenix 1channel icetv installed alllready .only thing you have to do is remove amcodec and media codec elsyou get a black screen with only sound .

    Some use oman ore stane ore spmc .all are 13 xbmc versions tvmc is also a 13 version. my reason for tvmc is i dont have to install anything just download apk file run it and ready .no typing no fusion just apk install few times press ok and ready

        If you mean Every server works .no
        If you mean does it play without hickups .no. Most of the time it does .sometimes it hangs .because of a slow internet conn . iam nog sure if its the box öre the server where you pick the movie from .it cant be wifi since its on a cable .my internet speed is 500mb glasfiber.

        I never have problem with netflix but thats only SD .navi-x works fine most of the time .btw on cable its max 100mb .
        It had no gigabit conn.

        Iam waiting 4 the nvidia shield .it had all the specs 4the future.and hopefully better firmware .but 4 now i have tot do it with my tronsmart s89-h

          i have done a test /installed tvmc on my tablet and tried to do exactly the same with may note10.1 tab (has a s3soc exynos) and dual wifi N.
          tablet runs on 5.02 lollypop rom .
          here are the results

          on tablet genisis are you beeing served (sd) perfect smooth and fast
          on tronsmart same server didnt connect other one did started up little slower.

          on tablet the 100 series (sd ) fast in 2 mins project free tv
          got the same server on tronsmart needed a few diffrent before it worked.

          i used exactly the same install apk downloaded it and installed it on both.

          after a little testing i found that my quadcore tablet runs much smoother than my tronsmart.Why i dont know. my brother has the minix 8-h with the s812 soc he showed me 2 weeks ago we connected it here on my cable .that rusn much smoother also.i asked him if he had any problems untill no non.

          so i think its the combination kodi firmware since it runs smooth on a tablet and minix .but what exactly the problem is guess me ? drivers ?

            you have stuttering only in online movies or in local to? if only in online try to change the advancedsettings.xml i use this one

            Code:
            <!-- zerocache -->
            <advancedsettings>
                <network>
                    <buffermode>1</buffermode>
                    <cachemembuffersize>157286400</cachemembuffersize>
                    <curlclienttimeout>45</curlclienttimeout>
                    <readbufferfactor>20</readbufferfactor>
                </network>
                <gui>
                    <algorithmdirtyregions>3</algorithmdirtyregions>
                    <nofliptimeout>0</nofliptimeout>
                </gui>
                <videoscanner>
                    <ignoreerrors>true</ignoreerrors>
                </videoscanner>
            </advancedsettings>
            and it works fine on xbmc 13.4 , kodi 14.1 and spmc

            the codecs some times creates problems not solve them ( at list in my case with 1 tronsmart s89 and 2 beelink mx3 )

              Hey Thanks for giving me your settings. I will try it. I had problems with one single file online. But the same file worked fine on my macbook.

              Since then though I am having nice performance with kodi 14.1 with all the codecs enabled. Its working fine. The picture quality is also pretty good. But I am using Finless 2.0 only. Is 2.1 any better ? I see people are getting a lot of problems with it.

                  Hey thanks for your suggestion. But spmc is gotham based isnt it ?

                  I need something based on kodi since i use a service that needs kodi.
                  So far kodi 14.1 is holding up decent for me. Lets see.

                  Thanks.
