    Draco / Rikomagic Linux Firware

    Hi,

    Is there any Linux firmware or image which will support 4GB Ram and 32GB Nand .
    I tried using many images of Ubuntu available so far and also one shared by Rikomagic Support guys , but none of those showed me 4GB Ram and I guess it uses only 8GB partition.

    I have no idea why it shouldn't support 4GB RAM (but I only have a 2GB version)....

    Because of the partition size (BTW: 5GB), I only know a way if you use it at SD Card (because you have to work at the partition table and I never tried to use another way via one of the parameter files at the eMMC/NAND)...

    If you think you are fit enough, I can show you the way, how you are able to manipulate the MBR/MPT with sfdisk via another Linux system at this SD Card version to expand it to the whole SD Card http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post282855

      No spam I can't get screen size to be right. It's always oversized in the desktop unlike android you can use slide bar to adjust how can I change so fits the TV screen. It works I can see icons on side cut in half but bottom and top cut off.

      Would be great if I could also launch from SD card but doesn't work in card program.
      Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

        Sorry, I use overscan off at tv, but I think there is no screen scale at the linux at the moment...

          OK I try that


          The card won't work in phoniex and I tried win SD way still doesn't boot? Install to mk80 works but I'd like run it off SD card.

            Use Win32Disk Imager, I have tried with this for 16GB version and is working fine for me.

              I have received below response from the Rikomagic Guys, looks RAM is issue within Linux.

              HI,Inayath:
              I have asked some other technical partner in Linux,their suggestion as below:
              You can tell the customer they should be able to access the missing storage by doing the followin
              # install disk utility
              sudo apt-get install gnome-disk-utility
              # run disk utility
              gnome-disks
              then click on partition 1 and format it to ext4
              after that you should have a large partition for storing data etc

              I think the RAM issue is much more complicated
              best to ask allwinner about this (yes,i have passed to Allwinner already)

                I trying to get software center installed not much luck and office again not much luck learning curve for linux for me lmao. but like how fast and responsive this is.


                any ppa files do not load?

                sudo apt-add-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-4-2
