Ott tv box problem root

Hi All.

Please can somebody help me just brought an m8 box off amazon
and had one of the m8 boxes before so this is a second box different supplier.

Problem is I cannot get this box to go into root recovery screen using toothpick
on av hole and nothing.

Basically I want to install another firnware on it is there any other way
I can do this please be most grateful.

goto settings ---> other ---> take picture of the kernel version and etc andx post

Let me show you how I resolve the issue:
I have the same problem. What I did is copy the zip ROM (for ex, justme 1.6 ...) and recovery.img on SD card and use toothpick method. It will restart into recovery and you can flash ROM from that, mate

ok got to recovery and the robot is fallen over with red apostrophe

at the top of screen says android system recovery <3e>

eont let me wipe data/fsctory reset

when i take sd card out and tunn off turn on just get black screen
