Flashing red POWER-LED on Q7/EKB311B TV box

    Hi Folks!

A friend of mine bought a ENY EKB311B. And when he plugged it in for the first time it was just flashing RED. Nothing else. So I decided to help him.

I have tried to connect it to a Win7 computer (and 8.1) it's not discovered. I opened it to see if it resembled any of the other Android TV-boxes featured here in Freaktab (wich seems to bee the place to go when having trouble with an Android Box.) It almost exactly the same as the Q7 model.

Now, Using the recovery-button on the back does nothing. I found several threads discussing that the Toshiba NAND can be used to enter A flashing mode, Usually "legs" no 9 and 10. I tried this without success.

So, Any Ideas were to go next? Im a little worried that it's DOA, Bricked and an EX-Android TV (not parrot)

    Thanx for any Help.

That's a version 3 board, there are already version 11 boards of that out.
You can try shorting the 8-9 pins on the Toshiba chip, if not working try from the other side.
The PC Flash tool will then show maskrom mode or a blue square if using Rockchip Batch Tool v1.7
I also had a similar old box and shorting the pins does work, just keep on trying.
This looks like Mediatek wifi not Realtek like in Q7, so you should flash the right firmware.
Thanx for your reply, when I tried to shorting the pins I had the power ON and OTG connected to Computer, that is the right way to do it, right?
Nothing happened though. Still just flashing Red from power led. Or maybe I didnt do it properly last time, I'll try it again.
