    Ubuntu for CS918 v2.16 20140929

    I'd like to instal ubuntu on my CS918, preferably on the internal NAND. The stock working FW is "cyxtech_rk31_cs918_8723_141107_4.4_8g2g.img". I have tried the picuntu tutorial and some of the linuxium instructions but without any success so far. The flashing goes ok, but after that nothing happens. No video signal, the power button lights permanently red. I have noticed that the parameter file is different (the NAND partitioning) when compared to the picuntu tutorial. I have tried both address offsets. Different bootloaders. Nothing. Still the same. Or could it be possibly something with the display port (rk3188 has two ports, right)?? Could anyone please help me on this? Thanks a lot!

    Without a fitting kernel (for this pcb) you can forget it...
    Display port could be one of the wrong parts at the kernel you tried...

      and is there any way to get it? (download, some easy DIY method, or could possibly the kernel from the stock rom work)??

        No, Android kernel will not work and there doesn't exist so much different Linux kernel, so I think you have to compile your own one http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post157646
