Windows 10 Technical Preview auto updated to 10046?

    Good morning all,

I was playing with KODI the other day and received a notice of an update in the messaging center. After clicking OK and waiting about 10 minutes. It rebooted, and BAM. New version. I saw a loss of about 5 gig and noticed the new version #. I opened windows explorer and did a cleaning. Saw Windows.old directory. and in Disk Cleanup, saw "Delete windows update files and Old windows install. Did everybody else get this update? I am assuming yes?!?!

I did not install Win 10 on my pipo but on another PC... but anyway I received that update too.

There is a setting in Windows Update options to set slow or fast update. Slow means you'll get less updates but they'll be more stable, fast means more updates but they might be more buggy.

Build 10046 is a fast update, you would not have received it if you had set your settings to slow.

hmm.. i have seen this 4 or 5 times allready.
-these updates slow down the pc alot..after the update.. the `anti-maleware' and "defrag" kills the performance alot
      question..
How is win10 performance on the x7?
Did you do any kind of tweaking?
How is the quality of the video?

      Cheers

Windows 10 Technical Preview auto updated to 10042 or 1 sorry. not 46.

It runs pretty much the same, video performance seems the same. I had my first sideways frown (crash?) and it rebooted and all was good again. Not sure what I did to get that. Sent the info to Microsoft. Kodi is mainly what I use the PIPO for and with the update, I didn't lose anything. ie.installed programs after the update. the wife's Lifetime, Netflix all seem ok! I REALLY like win 10. It operates much better then 8.1 for sure!
