    TV01II RK3288 HTC vs. MX2 AML8726-MX ... AndroBench test ... flash memory speed & stutters

    My frustration reached top.
People said about RK3288 boards, that stutters depends on the speed of flash memory! What?
I take out of the closet, my old player on Amlogic MX processor.

    Results. Is not that interesting?
    AndroBench v4.0 TV01II RK3288 HTC (Rockchip)
rom: v1.02 (HPH, mo123 for HTC)
    MX2 AML8726-MX (Amlogic)
    rom: G-Box MX2 v1.2
    Beelink S82 Plus S812 (Amlogic)
    rom: stock 201k4

    Youtube stutters YES NO NO
    KODI stutters YES NO NO
Amlogic MX is a lot slower than HTC Rokchip, and works much better!
Please do not tell me, that it depends on flash memory.
Why it does not work for the player with Amlogic?

    Welcome to the discussion.

    Thanks for this compare
E.g. I never talk about stutters because of r/w performance... I think it's the SDK... Something which seems rockchip never understand AND also HTC that they have to do a better job/support at the SDK and fw updates... but we have also to talk about the time amlogic needs to fix all this
BTW: do you test the stutters at same setup (e.g. AVR / TV and so on)?

Yes all the same, TV too,
Launcher: Nova, Animation wallpaper: Wave Z, widgets, Xposed, applications etc.

Amlogic is slower (only two cores), gfx Mali-400, but the video plays very smoothly.
Has only 1GB RAM (available approximately 800MB).

In my opinion, talking about slower flash memory on HTC PCB, it is not true.
MX2 is much slower, but works very good.

Are you using wifi or ethernet?
M TV01II was terrible over wifi.
I connected via ethernet and now it works beautifully.

            I use WIFI on both.
Amlogic has worse WIFI and it works better.

My tv01ii was junk on wifi, totally useless, stuttered on everything, no matter what it was.
Connected up with ethernet it is flawless.

              Try it.

The stuttering playback was a problem on all firmware I tried, the original, the update, and two others.
Currently I am running cloudnetgo cr12? firmware and it has stuttering playback on wifi and flawless playback with lan.
I've been meaning to try the mo123 firmware but I don't use the box very often now.
