Rooting New Polaroid Tablet Question

Hey sorry I'm a total noob with android. I just bought a new polaroid tablet and wanted to know the best way to root it. I have researched it a lot, but there are so many ways I am not sure. Can you point me in the right direction? Also, does the root explorer root your tablet when you change permissions or do you need to root it before hand with superoneclick or something else? I keep seeing these tablets are prerooted out of the box so I am just unsure on what to do. I am use to Apple jailbreaking and not this, but wasn't going to buy a 400 dollar tablet. Before you touch it and possibly unroot it (like I did using SuperOneClick), get Root Checker Basic from an app store. It will quickly tell you if the tablet is already rooted.
