Ok, if there is a rk2918 rom for 7,8,9 or 10.1, say jelly bean, can we swap boot & system .img in the RK29 Flash tool, if so, which ones do we swap? Any help would be great. I've tried the Oma Jb and it is not the right resolution, to small. Tried dumping and cooking but not having any luck so far.. Like CM10 for rk2918 swap .img files and use the kernel from next7p12..HELP

Some ROMs (factory ROMs) kerenel is in boot.img and if it is, the separate kernel.img will never be used even if you flash it. You can tell if boot.img is about 9K then kernel is in there. If it is about 2K it wont have a kernel.

Thanks Bob, I will keep that in mind. So if I use kernel, misc, recovery img's from my rom and system & boot from another rk29 even if it is 8 in it should work? I tried one (oma jb) and it was small. Like the resolution was off. Any sugestions?
