So with a linux port would it be possible to run Smoothwall Express on one of these sticks? I was curious if I could then replace my old IBM P4 with my MK808 running Smoothwall and use a lot less power. All I would need is 2 usb to Ethernet adapters and I would be in business... well except for finding a version of Smoothwall that would run on it. But that would be very cool. A ultra portable firewall/router!
            TV Stick: MK808 // Tronsmart T428

Personally I think Smoothwall is a great project and it would be very nice to have an ARM port, but right now I can only answer that in theory, yes, one could rebuild Smoothwall to run on an MK808 with USB Ethernet adapters, but I really wonder if the performance would be acceptable.

You can always donate a MX1 to AndrewDB for Development.

                      Hi,
I can and will release a Linux kernel for the MX1 in the coming days, to be used with the pre-Alpha release of Ubuntu Linux. The only thing is, the internal Bluetooth and WiFi chips are not supported because Mediatek doesn't release the source code for them (and that's completely senseless since there is nothing really special in their source code).
But you can always use the MX1 with a $5 USB Realtek or Ralink WiFi adapter, with a better antenna, so no big loss in any case.

                              Jason,
The MK802 III is, in terms of flashing Linux, identical to the UG802, so just follow the instructions on the page vampirex pointed to above.
