So with a linux port would it be possible to run Smoothwall Express on one of these sticks? I was curious if I could then replace my old IBM P4 with my MK808 running Smoothwall and use a lot less power. All I would need is 2 usb to Ethernet adapters and I would be in business... well except for finding a version of Smoothwall that would run on it. But that would be very cool. A ultra portable firewall/router!TV Stick: MK808 // Tronsmart T428
ROM: Finless 1.7c w/Pimp My Rom // Nexus SDK2 Multi-Window v1.2
CPU: @1.6GHz OnDemand Governor NOOP I/O Scheduler
Recovery: ClockworkMod
Kernel: Omegamoon // 1080p OC kernel 720ddr 1.9cpu
Phone: Samsung Galaxy Note II
ROM: Whompasaurus v4.2
Kernel: Persus

yeah i feel sad about it to .. mx1.. i trusted geekbuyings review and bought it ( they said no wifi issues etc) should have bought the neo g4 or x5 or amlogic ones.. oh well hopefully the manufactures have some brains and release the source of their products. they cant seem to get the basics correct before releasing their product

I can and will release a Linux kernel for the MX1 in the coming days, to be used with the pre-Alpha release of Ubuntu Linux. The only thing is, the internal Bluetooth and WiFi chips are not supported because Mediatek doesn't release the source code for them (and that's completely senseless since there is nothing really special in their source code).
But you can always use the MX1 with a $5 USB Realtek or Ralink WiFi adapter, with a better antenna, so no big loss in any case.
