MK 808 - USB Ethernet adapter not working / recognized by device

    MK 808 - USB Ethernet adapter not working / recognized by device

    Hey guys,


    I've got a problem with the LevelOne USB0501 USB hub / Ethernet adapter. The USB hub function works fine. However, it doesn't seem to interact with the Ethernet interface. If I plug in the Ethernet cable, the LEDs neither light up nor can I enable Ethernet within the settings. When I try to do so, it just goes to off after approx. 3 sec.

    I bought a Belkin adapter (http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...uctId=12182056) and it works perfectly. It installed immediately and have not had a single signal drop since I bought it 4 days ago.

      Maybe its my rom ? I am using Finless 1.5a. I vaguely remember some people having had issues with that and ethernet.

        something that messed up my hardware was small cheap USB cables. When I used USB cables that I had obtained from named brands (Belkin, Sony, Canon, Epson etc.), I finally connected to my Belkin hub and all the peripherals on it. When I was using a cheap one that came with who knows what I had bought off ****, I couldn't access anything at all.

          I'm using Finless 1.5a as well and have had no issues at all with wireless or ethernet connections. Think I got lucky, I haven't any issues regarding anything about it yet.

            I bought an adapter with AX88772B chip and it's working, playing 1080P MKV files on NAS smoothly.

              Well, the reason my adapter isn't working is that the drivers are missing. I need the smsc95xx.c drivers. If anybody would be so kind to compile them for me I'd be immensely thankfull
