    Polaroid 7' MIDR477

    Hello

    I bought a tablet Polaroid 7' MIDR477
After a couple of days , i think that this tablet has some bugs .
So i 'd like to root it in order to put a custom rom .
But how can i root it because when i try a " adb devices " from my ubuntu 12.10 there is no device listed .
I fill correctly "android.rules" file in order the process udev can let me to connect my tablet .
What sort of custom rom , i can flash on my tablet

Thank's in advance and sorry for my english

I've never seen this one...it's not even on their website that I can find (in the 20 seconds I just spent there)....

In Europe, the "Polaroid" name belongs to a different company than it does in North America (I think the distributor is in the Netherlands). So, no one on this side of the Atlantic has ever seen the "Polaroid" tablet you have. Maybe a forum that is based in Europe (or has a lot of European users) will be able to help you.

Thank you for your response . In fact , this tablet has a MIPS CPU ( K74c ) . It's seems to be difficult to root this tablet cause there is no hack for MIPS architecture in Android 4.0.3 . I found some hack for CPU ARM only ( mempodroid ... )

I 'd like to connect it with adb but it's impossible .
I try magic.apk wich seems to execute ARM binary on CPU Mips whithout any result
        Any ideas ?

        Thank's in advance

Not at all positive, since MIPS definitely isn't my forte' but I did a search and it looks like the Ainol Novo 7 is at least a MIPS processor...perhaps that's a place to start.

It has a forum and everything

In fact i began to cross compile mempodroid.c for mips arch .
I'll test this hack and i 'll inform you if i succeed in or not .
I want to root my tablet in order to backup it and try your custom rom

            Thank's for your help

I wouldn't advise that-the custom ROM for my 701C is for an ARM cortex processor, not a MIPS processor...
