I have same problem with mine
I have the Polaroid 8" Tablet as well, and I can't mount a 32gb SanDisk Micro SD card in mine either.
When I power up the tablet, it first checks the card for errors, and this process takes much longer than with my other cards.
Then after the error check is competed, I try going into Settings > Storage, and this process hangs, and ultimately times out.
I even tried running the "mount card" process, and that didn't work either.
I know this this 32gb card is okay, because it works fine in my cell phone.
I also tried a 2gb, an 8gb, and a 16gb Micro SD card in my Polaroid 8", and all three of these smaller capacity cards worked fine.
So there appears to be something wrong with Polaroid 8" tablets in recognizing the 32gb Micro SD cards?
It says on the User Manual that came with the Polaroid that it handles up to 32gb cards, so I'm not sure what the issue is?

I tried calling Polaroid Tablet support at 1-877-768-8481, but found myself waiting on hold for an extended period, so I sent an email to their customer service at:[email protected]
I recommend contacting Polaroid Customer Support on this issue yourself, so they will know that multiple people are experiencing this same problem.

I learned that when my 32gb card refuses to mount, I can pull the card out and then put it back in while the tablet is turned on, and it then seems to mount and work ok.
However, my 32gb mount problem still does reoccur occasionally, so the above solution is just a workaround for whenever it happens, and it is not a permanent fix.

My problem still happens a few times a day.
Whenever it does, I pull the card out and re-insert it, and it fixes the issue.
But it shouldn't behave this way, so something is definitely wrong either with the card or the tablet.

Honestly,
I think your tablet is defective... I'd exchange it if I were you...
I have the same card and don't have those issues...

Do the B&M Kohls even carry this tablet or was it just a BF Special?
It may limit whether or not you can exchange the tablet
My first tablet was defective...
Fortunately, I purchased 2 just in case one became defective (typically the case with these cheap tablets...).
One thing is for certain... it's a decent tablet... I bought mine on BF and with Kohl's discount, Kohls Cash, and Discover Card Cash Back, this tablet was roughly $30.... not too shabby
Good luck...

Yes, I bought mine on Black Friday at Kohls as well ... was a really great deal like you mentioned. You were smart to get two of them.
I think first I'm going to exchange the SD card ... and if that doesn't correct the problem ... then I'll exchange the tablet. I used other smaller SD cards in my tablet with no problems at all.
Also, if you wouldn't mind, could you check to see what happens when you try to update your tablet in SETTINGS > About Tablet > Update ?
I created another thread on my Update issue here: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...-tablet-UPDATE
but so far, nobody is responding to it. Please respond in the other thread, so it will not throw this one off topic.
Thanks again.

I also am having SD card problems. Mine worked fine for about a week and now I am having problems. I can't even look at the internal SD card; when I goto the FileBrowser, and select 'SD Card' from the device list, it produces a blank list. If I go into settings and click on 'Storage' it just freezes up. If I take my microSD card out it will load the 'Storage' section but shows that I need to mount my Internal SD card. Someone else has had this problem too that left a review on Kohls.com, but I was just hoping that it was just a bad card. This reviewer claimed that customer support was fully aware of this issue and that they did not know what was causing it.
My tablet is not rooted, yet, and I am using a G.Skill 32 GB microSD class 6 card.
I was kind of hoping there was some kind of ROM I could load to get rid of this Polaroid flaw but it is looking like I am out of luck. Guess I'll perform my second factory reset, first one was because of some dead pixels that would show up half way through the boot sequence.

But if your external SD card is not working, try pulling the card out for a few seconds and then putting it back in. Do this with the tablet powered on. This solution has been working for me. It's not a permanent solution, but at least it fixes it whenever the problem occurs.
I also have a funny feeling the PTAB8000 is being phased out, because Kohls states on their website:
We're sorry, this item is no longer available.

I wanted to try exchanging my SD card and try another one, but the store I purchased it from is out of stock.
