    Help with craig cmp745e

I recently purchased the craig cmp745e, a 10.1" tablet running a rk29sdk. After playing with it for a couple days I was able to root it. Now I'm trying to flash a new rom and have gotten stuck. I cant install any drivers on my win 7 32bit notebook and rktools doesnt see my tablet. I am able to get into recovery but thats as far as I get. Any ideas?

    I have the same tablet

How did you root it? Is there a tutorial specific to this model? Also, were there other adverse effects? I've heard of problems with wifi and usb after rooting older Craigs.

He rooting process was quite simple, I don't have my computer up at the moment but I'll let you know the process I used and there were no adverse affects, everything worked as it did before rooting.

The program I used was Root_RK29_Tab_Toolkit_1.3 I'm sure if you do a search you will find it. It was super easy and worked great!

No problem , hope it helps. I've had some mild success with rktools, I was able to get it into flash mode and install the drivers, now I'm trying to find a ton that will work!

What did you do for these instructions?
              • (3) Turn Mass Storage OFF
              • (4) Enable "USB DEBUGGING" from Developer Options
              • (5) Enable "UNKNOWN SOURCES" from Security

"Unknown Sources" is checked by default on my tab, but I can't find any settings for Mass Storage support or anything resembling "Developer Options."

                Re: Help with craig cmp745e

Well that gets a little tricky. I had been able to find a gapps.zip file, I think it was in a Polaroid forum, so I had the older android market. You can probably find apps on the net but there are some out there that will toggle debugging mode, one you install the apk you will get your developer options. Mass storage I didn't turn on so I didn't have to turn it off, just don't turn USB mode on when you connect it to your computer.

Is it possible to get the Kernel File, and the Hardware Info from a Programm called Hardware Info from Playstore ?

SO maybe we can Run Jelly Bean on it.

                    Re: Help with craig cmp745e

It is possible to get the info, I got a copy of the kernel from a different source. I've tried a JB rom but couldn't get the touch screen to work, it did load though. I made an online nandroid backup and was able to restore my tab after the failed attempt. It wasn't a total loss though, I now have cwm!

jc73, I followed your suggestion and successfully got Market access for my Craig. I did some googling and found the gapps.zip file on this blog entry: http://www.the-digital-reader.com/20...roid-pmid702c/ . However, I'm not sure what you meant here:
You can probably find apps on the net but there are some out there that will toggle debugging mode, one you install the apk you will get your developer options.
Did you use an app like this to enable developer options on your cmp745e? Is there a specific apk that you're referring to? I wasn't able to find anything with google.

                        Re: Help with craig cmp745e

Just search the market, the app I used was usb debug.

                          Hello,

Please make a Rom Dump, look at here --> http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...sing-ADB-guide.

As i see on your Photo´s you got a Rk29xx Platform, so i think we can ran Jelly Bean.
