Bought a Childpad Capacitive version for my 6yr old daughter for Christmas. I said i'd root it so that i could get parental control apps from Google Play, use OpenDNS to restrict web etc
I've rooted my Sansung Galaxy S2 and s£ already. So, went to do the Childpad. Done the Capacitive 4.04 flash and it all appeared to work but when i restarted it, the touch calibration screen came up but it would not detect my keypress. I definitely downloaded the Capacitive zip and mine is definitely a capacitive model.
Then i said i'd try the JB update and same again, flash appeared to work but when it restarted, it is on the Welcome screen and it won't recognise my keypress
Is there a difference between capacitive versions ? i assumed the capacitive firmware was specific to the hardware and that the hardware capacitive hardware was the same in US as Europe etc ? or have i missed something ?
Or is there a stock capacitive ROM i can go back to ?
