        No good - appears to be boot-looping with 1.21 test. Can someone else confirm?

          Crap...

          So it appears to be the Market files I am using. My Market installs stuff you guys I don't think get with your market installing it by hand. A working calendar and contacts and sync and new/weather from Google? Correct?

          So if you guys want the Market pre-installed I guess I have to download the ones you guys are installing by hand.

          I put back version 1.2 for you guys until I get the Market sorted for this tablet.

              Yes, that is in fact correct. That's actually half the reason I've been waiting for a ROM for this tablet. I want all the google apps (YouTube, Facebook, Google Music, calendar, etc) that come stock. Hopefully we can find a workaround for this. I wish I could help in some way.

                Bob, if you follow through this forum thread (whrl.pl/RcTpDh) Back in September hweita over at the Whirlpool forums figured out how to flash the Android market onto the NP7. He used Market version v1.8.6 as he had trouble with a later version (2.3.6). I had originaly flashed Market v1.8.6 using his technique long before I upgraded to DocHoppy's ROM. Frankly I liked the look of Market v1.8.6 much better than the one on DocHoppy's ROM (which I think is 3.4.4)

                    Just in case anyone is wondering, I have flashed this one to a serial number 1211 and it's working without issue.

                        OK let me ask guys. Do we really want 2 roms out there? Doc's seems to work for you guys now that he has released it. NOt sure I need to continue work on this. I am kinda focused on getting the problematic Olaroid P700 and 7200 done now

                          Bob, does DocHoppy's ROM contain your memory optimizations? I haven't gotten a chance to flash your ROM 1.2 yet, but I like the idea of your ROM being completely stock with the customizations. One thing I didn't like about DocHoppy's v2.1 Rom was that it contained a lot of apps that I didn't want and could not uninstall. As long as I can manually add Market 1.8 to your Test 1.2 ROM then I think I would be happy as that one is stock, rooted, has RW system, and has your memory optimizations.

                            I shared with Doc how I optimize for NAND flash but I do not know if he added it to his ROM.

                            Here is how you tell. I cant flash his ROM so I cant find out.
                            Go to the market and download a terminal emulator and install it.
                            Run the terminal
                            at the $ type SU
                            at the # type df
                            Look at the list. System should be blocked as 4096.
                            I notice many ROM cookers are using stock 1024 which is what ext3 does if you pass it no blocking parameters. 1024 is not optimized for NAND memory.

                              Personally, I enjoy having multiple choices in ROM's. For example, some people include all of the stock Goolgle apps and some replace them (like Doc) with k9 mail, etc..... It's just nice to have options.

                              Now, if you simply don't have the time or desire to work on it, then thats's a completely different story! :-)

                                OK so I will leave my current version as full root no extras.

                                For me to make a ROM with full google installed I am going to need you guys to test some stuff for me. This wont be as easy as flashing. You will need to do some work installing my Market files one by one and finding which one is causing the crash. Then we can TUNE the Market for this tab and get it setup.

                                I am a believer in not installing anything (Sorry Doc just me ) other than the Market as I know that is what people want most, the Market working. Let users install the other stuff as they wish. However improving the ROM and adding drivers for say Bluetooth sticks, 3G sticks, CIFS, etc is something I support cooking into ROMs. That improves the Tabs over all capabilities.

                                Anyway stay tuned I am going to upload my Market files if you guys are willing to help work on that?
