    T002 = MK808 ?

    Hello,

    I was hoping someone might be able to help me, I have recently bought the T002 mini PC on ****, which seems to have the same specs as the MK808 (but was a bit cheaper). I'm thinking it might just be a MK808 with different housing and I was hoping that it might be able to use the MK808 roms on here, could someone with a bit of knowledge about these things have a look at the link below and let me know if this is possible please?

    (Specs here http://www.****.co.uk/itm/New-Dual-C...item5aebc89a77)

    Similiar specs, but the MK808 has 8GB NAND, the T002 listing only 4GB.
    And since Finless Bobs ROM1.5A formats NAND, may not be compatible with that ROM (someone else may wanna chime in on that..?)
    And, of course, different housing with HDMI Male, vs MK808's Mini HDMI Female.

      Thanks for the reply. From the instructions I got with it, it looks like the NAND is variable up to 32GB. It's disappointing if I cant use this ROM as it looks like no one else on the planet owns a T002

        Ki99,

        I ordered my mk808 from dealextreme and got shafted a bit. Their order page said it had 8gb nand but what I received only had 4gb nand. I have flashed finless 1.5a and its working great. I got 15 bucks back from them for the order screw up.

          Well, that's good to hear that it works on 4GB! There are so many "clones" of the TV Sticks out there these days, hard to keep track of all of them...
          The safest way to flash is get the hardware specs of your unit and contact the ROM Developer to confirm compability.

              Here is a screenshot of my storage. To my understanding finless rom expanded internal storage (top one) and didn't do anything to my nand storage as it still shows 4gb. Some one can correct me if I am wrong.

                I think after a bit more reading it is more likely to be a UG802 in a different case, specs look the same, layout looks the same and it has the same RBox software.

                  hmm yea I too have one of these - pondering which rom is right. Mine has HTC T002-v0 on the board with one of the other chips with realtek on it- presume this the wifi? I just flashed with ug802 1.7 ROM, then 1.8. Bit funny that the off utton on my stick acts more like a restart button.
                  Struggling to get any of the streaming xbmc addons to work with it. Thats with MXplayer & the playcorefactory.xml mod. The play store colours look a bit washed out too, hard to read the text, is that just my stick too?
                  cheers
