    MK-808 graphics-chip broken? (Finless 1.5A)

    Hi folks,

first of all sorry for my bad english and congratulations for all the freaks developing custom roms for the mk808! great work!

Yesterday I recieved my mk808. I installed it on a philips and Panasonic TV and got no video :-(
Than I flashed Finless 1.5A and it worked like a charm

I played around with it, installed some apps (angry birds and some others) and I went to have evening meal. When I got back to the (still running) TV I got a crashed screen with black, red and other colors.
I tried to move the mouse and press ESC on my keyboard and I saw something like the menĂ¼ shine through the colored crashed screen, but I was not able to read anything. So I unplugged USB and rebooted the mk808.
At next bootup the whole screen was gleamed in a green color. A really bad green that hit my eyes ;-) so I restartet it again. Now I have a blue/red colored screen. I can the the menu and open apps but all in this f**** color.
Could it be that the graphics-chip is broken?

I tried to change resulution of the screen but nothing helped. Has anybody had same problems and knows how to help me? I waited about 8 weeks for the shipping and I don`t want to ship it back and wait again :-(

    Thanks for your help
    xxfog

I think I will try to reflash the 1.5A to. If it is a software bug, than it should disapear after flash.

Also you could try just flashing a new kernel instead of everything. Maybe the 1080p one that is on this board? http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...-5A-Custom-ROM

A bad power supply can cause this too.

I use an Apple IPad- power supply with 2,1 A.

Try another HDMI in on your TV. It might also be the miniHDMI adapter's or HDMI cable's fault.

Thanks for yout tipps. I tried al of them and nothing happend. Still the same (i used 3 different power adapters)..
than I used a USB-Port of my Samsung TV (labeled "USB 1 (HDD)" and it works on it!
So I guess it really has to do with the power the device uses. The HDD Port seems to have enaugh ;-)

              Thank you!
              Problem is solved.
              best wishes xxfog
