QWERTY -> QWERTZ USB keyboard UG802 fineless 1.7

Hello,

how can I change the USB layout to qwertz? I deleted all the files in /system/user/keylayout/ and keychar relfashed the Generic.kl with a qwrtz one but it is still qwerty. Any ideas?

ROM: fineless 1.7. Works without problems with the stock one ...

try keyboard helper pro, it hides the soft keyboard and you can set the layout on german for qwertz and äöü and so on.
Thats app also do other stuff like Strg+C/V for Copy/Paste and the enter key acting like on a windows pc and not like a mouse click

I'm not sure deleting all those files was a good idea, although I'm no expert.

I've had some success re-mapping a few keys by editing the Generic.kl file myself. You have to be careful though as messing it up can stop the keyboard working completely! Make sure you backup the original before making any changes.

I'm sure with a bit of work you could create your own Generic.kl file for a qwertz key layout.
