    UG802 - Odd A/V issues.

Running Finless v1.7 720p 1272, Genuine 2.1A Apple Charger on Sony XBR960 Television

Audio: I get intermittent clicks and pops through my speakers when no audio is playing. When I play audio it sounds tinny, for a few seconds every few minutes it will clear up and sound great. On the flip side of that coin the audio will completely drop out for several seconds every few minutes.

Video: Video has occasional static through image, image on my TV will disappear for a fraction of a second intermittently.

I have tried several chargers and charging cables with no noticeable changes. CPU/GPU or network load don't seem to make the issue any worse or better. I have no issues with any other device hooked up via HDMI to this TV.

Here is a (poor quality) video of it happening:

Anyone have any suggestions or comments? I purchased the UG802 to use as a cheap XBMC device but this is making it nearly unusable.

Hrmm... Just noticed If I drop the video down to 720x480 via the Advanced Settings menu the screen quits blanking out and the static in image/audio is reduced greatly but the audio still sounds like pewp.

Don't mean to have a conversation with myself but I tried the UG802 on another XBR960 today. Same issue.

Sounds like a damaged HDMI cable, or its not plugged in all the way. Also try turning the volume down on the device to 50-75% and then turn the volume back up on the TV.

Received RMA approval from where I purchased it from, went to unplug it to box it up and send it back and the microusb port broke off. Resoldered the microusb port back on and reflowed all the solder on the HDMI connector. It now powers on, all my a/v glitches are gone and the audio sounds great! Now my only problem is it seems I have toasted the wireless. I just can't get a break with this thing!

Resoldered connections for antenna/wireless chip and my wifi's back! A/V issues came back. After testing on a few other TV's it looks like the UG802 is working fine, it just disagrees with all my Sonys (tested on XBR960 (X2)/HS420)

I have these same symptoms with my older Sony 720p LCD. It works fine on everything else. Definately seems to be a Sony thing.
