Minix Neo X5 Flash and Crashing Issues

I bought a Minix Neo X5 and rooted it based on the instructions found on this forum. I installed 4.1.1 Jellybean with Go Launcher. I am running xbmc and while it does a pretty good job of this, it does not allow for hardware decoding which means that when trying to stream anything 720p and above, it runs choppy. Even if it is over my own network. I am able to stream higher def videos fairly successfully over my network with an android app called avia.

Although I am happy with the device overall, there are a couple of issues. I have found that Flash does not work. Is there any way to make it work? Also, I have noticed that the device does crash periodically and I have to unplug it and restart it. Anyone know why? Is it possible to fix this?

i had freezing and crashing issues,
it had 4.1.1 jb and i loaded the 4.0.4 ics rom,
it seemed to fix the issues,
this tweeked file may work too,
i just tried this one as it was finished dl 1st and its what my seller recommended.
ran it for 12 hrs with no issues,
and i like the look of the ICS better than the JB screen that came loaded on it.

I do have Google Talk but I warn you, I am far from a pro. I just started messing around with this thing. Just got it. I had a ug802 before this. What is your Google Talk ID?

I had permanent freezes & reboots on JB.
Tried all possible firmwares (including the latest - 0117).
I'm very confused because a lot of people are satisfied with JB. Maybe Minix X5 has different hardware editions?

                Returned to ICS.

I have found that ICS has been the most stable for me

I asked Minix support about different hardware versions of X5 and received answer that only one version exists.

yes,but it is software version you are meaning i think,
hardware is the box itself,so only 1 version(so far)
                        hope that helps

Remember - when you updated firmware in Rockchip_Batch_Tool_v1.5 you must use "Restore" button. NOT "Upgrade" button.
