Will touch screens work with these?

I am putting togeather a project I hope to bring to kickstarter. The other night while discussing it with my partner, it occured to me that these little android systems might work pretty well.

What I want to know is if these little devices can connect to a touchscreen via HDMI and USB and have a functioning Android touch experience you might find on a tablet.

I know this sounds odd, and you might ask, why not just get a tablet. I have my reasons, I just dont have a touchscreen handy to test this with.

I would assume that touch is part of the core OS and its not stipped out in these builds, but I could be wrong.

    Any thoughts?

Depends on the touch controller in whatever monitor you want to use.

You might need to find some linux driver for the touch controller and compile with the rockchip kernel source.

youll have to try. Most 4-wire resistive screens on the market use the eGalax controllers.

I have 4 screens, 2 worked and 2 did not. The two that worked were the newer 0210 version. The older 0001 did not.

If they work but are rotated / reversed, theres a hardware mod for that.

The more expensive capacitive screens usually work out of the box from what i hear.

Does your controller looks like this? http://www.cartft.com/catalog/il/1680

I'm trying to hook up a touchscreen to my 6.5 inch TFT which I'm using in my car. But my controller is version 0001. And Android doesn't seems to recognize it as a touch or input device.

              Thanks,

              Christophe.
