MIDC497 - Polaroid 9.7 - Root access OK / Playstore OK

Hello,

I've took vending apk from my 8 inch polaroid, pushing it to /system.

Dalvik cleared / reboot..... playstore is not present in the launcher...

I've found some package of gapps wich contains 4 files

google service framework (0,70 MB)
One Time analyzer (8,08 KB)
Set up Wizard (232,46 KB)
com.android.vending (3,22 MB)

google service framework is already present on my tablet but the others go fine but, playstore is always not present in the launcher.

Some files must be missing because I've installed gmail (via some other market) : I receive mail notifications, gmail open via those notications but gmail icon not present in the launcher....

Just go to the market and install gmail from there-it'll most likely ask you to 'replace' your version and probably install/reinstall items that are missing...

What do you mean by "market", The official playstore (don't work on my device) or from another market ?

Nevermind-I misunderstood what you were saying and kinda got lost...so you've verified everything else for the market is required-try to install this apk (by loading it on your sd card and clicking on it while on the tablet) and see if that gets you google play.

ohhhhhhhhhh noooooooooooo : after make a adb reboot recovery : my tablet always reboot into recovery mode and no menu (like on my 8''). Even when I push reset button

Don't know how but finally reboot normally.....

I've change with APEX and Gmail and playstore icons appears ;-)

Playstore got an error when I download some apk (RPC:S-5:AEC-0).

try going to the settings for the play store app. Clear the data (and the cache if necessary) to see if that fixes it.

Already try this, rebooted, delete my account but always this error. Even a master reset.

Google talk is not connected at all. On a web page, I try to see my devices on the playstore web page but, my mid497 not appear.

It's not very a big problem cause I can use other market but, it's a personnal interrest : I really want to know why this damned playstore refuse to work on my device.

Finally it works !!!!!!!

Now my MIDC497 is fully rooted with Playstore !!!!

The only thing I'have not done was to clear the google framework....

I took the version of playstore from Elektrik roms (thanks to you, maybe same version you send me).
Then :
-> Clear my google acount
-> Clear google framework !!!
-> Clear Market
-> Copy "Vending.apk" to system/app
-> Change permission (rw only like the others)
-> Reboot.

My tablet is now recognize in playstore as a Wondermedia MIDC497
pfiouuuuuuuuuuu done : this tablet is now perfect

Next step , extract the image from my device so I will have a backup image cause Polaroid have not published it yet
