[UG802] Problem downloading files bigger than 4gb

I cannot download big files with utorrent to an external NTFS formated hard drive.
I have no problem if filesize is under 4gb

I'm using the finless 1.7 rom.

Is there any way to baypass this problem? Are you guys having the same thing?
I would love to leave it on downloading big mkv files.

    Thanks in advance

One quick dirty solution you can use until someone gives you a proper one is zip or rar the file in several volumes, like old-school downloading style.

Yeah but I mean downloading straight with utorrent for Android so I cannot choose how the files are compressed or cropped.

I meant that once you have downloaded the file and you have it in your Android device, you can compress it in different volumes so you can transfer the volumes to the NTFS hard drive. You can recompress already compressed files if needed. You wont save space, but the point is having them in separated files that are smaller than 4Gb.

he is trying to say that downloading a 4GB torrent will not give him the option to span the file across multiple files (he has to get the 4GB file before he can split it).

I think this a limitation of the file system Android is using not the external hard drive.

Ah, he is trying to download directly into the NTFS hd. It makes more sense now. Then its either format to ext4 or wait for solution I guess.
