I am not very sure about your malware concerns. I have seen and read good reviews for this item, so I trust it would be the genuine. This is my opinion.

How can i tell if my MK 808 has Blutooth? the back of the box says it "Supports Bluetooth V4.0" Didn't check it before I flashed Finless 1.6 ROM, dont really have any blutooth accessories that i use, besides the fact that I could have possibly sync'd it with my Droid X...
This is the specs provided from my **** auction:
Specifications:- Chip: Rochip RK 3066, Cortex-A9
- OS: Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
- Display: HDMI OUTPUT(TV)
- RAM: 1GB DDR3
- Flash: 8GB Nand Flash
- WIFI: 802.11B/G
- 2.4G: Support 2.4Ghz wireless remote keyboard and mouse
- Hard Disk: SUPPORT SD Card: 1GB-16GB ; Hard Disk: 1GB ~ 5TB
- I/0 Port:
- USB2.0 host X 1;
- OTG micro USBX1 ;
- HDMI OUTPUTX1
But as it goes when you buy cheap things from China on **** they aren't always as advertied. Ie i really dont think i have 8GB NAND flash in this thing I think it's only 4GB.
O and my WiFi is broken. and Yes i followed directions to the T when flashing... Yes i Erased the NAND (IDB) first.

Finless 1.6 ROM is meant for MK808, it will not work for MK808B (wifi can never be turned on). You can flash with the custom ROM meant for MK808B from here. http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...1-5-Custom-ROM

Yeah it's an mk808b did that NEW - MK808-B mini TV Player - Finless 1.5 Custom ROM
and it works great, just wish it was more clear in the ad. I'm glad though cause it's nice to have it than not.
Oh the world of flashing and the easily missed print, but thanks for looking out tho.
Now to find out if anyone has an explaination on that other 4GB of NAND flash... You guys think it's hanging out with unicorns and the 1080P? some where over the rainbow?

I tried the 808 roms at first 1.5 and 1.6 and they worked fine, minus Wifi.
But since Fin doesn't seem to sleep he also released that 808b rom that weekend, and it works with Blutooth and wifi fine.
All i'm saying is that they all flash well, you can flash the wrong one and still make it back.
but good point on questioning the non android player's manufactures.
