UPDATE: I do not quite understand the instructions here but maybe they will help with the solution. I was assuming the Xbox setup would be the same as my Android phone when I have the wireless adapter attached.

iMito MX1/MX2 Xbox 360 Controller
Has anyone been able to get the Xbox 360 Wireless USB Adapter to work in the new Finless 1.5 ROM? I have the ROM installed with USB BT/Joystick 6.41 installed and patched but the application keeps saying No Devices Found. The joystick appears to be working but the key mappings all say unknown and the control seems sluggish. Any ideas?

I just got the wireless 360 controller to work yesterday....with some difficulty.
The Xpad.ko included in the Finless ROM allows the wireless controller to work but with limited functionality; dpad works and so do the A and B buttons, but analogue sticks don't and neither do the L and R triggers.
I renamed the xpad.ko file to xpad.ko.old so it no longer initializes and installed "USB/BT Joystick Center 6" from the play store. At first it didn't show any USB devices...I found out it was due to missing USB Host permissions so I had to apply the patch found here: http://poke64738.iphpbb3.com/forum/2...atch-t443.html
Just follow the instructions in the zip file.
Now it works perfectly....with only one controller. If I add a second controller the app restarts randomly...it may just be me so more people need to try.
Also noticed it runs better when connected to my phone (Galaxy Note)...for example, when controllers are connected, the correct quadrant on Xbox button light up whereas they all just continually flash when used with the Imito MX1.
Maybe the ROM is missing something else too???

DAMN! I usually add those XML files to my ROMs but I missed it this time...
I will do an update later 1.5a and add them.
Sorry about that but thanks for posting the fix to everyone. However I probably will not remove xbox.ko because more people than not ask for this.

Perhaps these apps should be included also in future releases.
Another reason not to include some of these APPs in a ROM is they have to be "system" APPs when in a ROM. Since Android never expects to update and write to /system, any updates leave the old APP in /system/app and puts the update in /data/app. This is a waste of space and can even cause performance issues. So I tend to perfer some of these APPs to be loaded by the user so when an update happens it does not leave trash all over the ROM.
Final comment... ES FIle Explorer for me is the best "root" file manager... I use to love Root Explorer but it has not been updated for a while and is buggy on ICS and above.

I've converted some apps to system (using Titanium Backup). I guess I've caused some mess when those apps get updated. I suppose the best thing to do if you want to do as I've done, would be to uninstall and reinstall the new version every time.
