Question about Finless-Bob's ClockWorkMod's 5.8.3.1 and 5.8.3.4

Hi Finless-Bob and all other!


I tested Bob's CWM 5.8.3.1 and CWM 5.8.3.4 on my NEO-X5.
It work all options, but not Restore.
Backup can be done. Cache, factory reset and dalvik can be wiped.
But after restoring a backup the machine is dead!


Is there a trick or is this a common mistake?

Bottom line you cannot CWM backup to external sdcard as the backup gets corrupted (actually the FAT32 format on sdcard gets corrupt) due to this hardware bug. In the link above I explain how to do it so it works.

your CWM5.8.3.4 works perfectly on the Minix Neo-X5.
The move by the backup on the external SD card is not a problem.
Recovering from the external SD card works!
