PTAB7XC Custom Recovery

With all of my other android devices, I'm accustomed to using adb to push a custom recovery .img file to the device to set up CWM or TWRP. Is that not how it's being done on these 7" Polaroid tablets? If it is, where are the .img files available?

I want to get a full backup of the (stock) tablet before trying a different rom...

No difference here.

Here's a link to a couple of CWMs built (I believe) by William Kleiman who used to be active in this forum: https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B4...orcehl=1&hl=en Choose the folder named 'nandi' if your tab has 9 partitions and 'nandj' if it has 10. In each folder, you'll find a "recovery.img" which should be CWM 6.0.1.2

I know you can type 'mount' on the tablet to show the partition information, so I'm betting you cand type adb mount and get the same. if not, just adb shell to it and then type mount > /sdcard/mount.txt to write the info to a file
