    h/w decoding problem

First of all sorry if my english is not perfect, I'm from spain.

Im traying to play some MKV with MK802 III. I use h/w decoding but it can't play it correctly:

with s/w decoding it works fine, but too slow:

    Can someone help me?
    I'm using UG802 finless custom rom 1.7

I was dificult, but I found the problem. The video was encoded with 10b:

this type of encoding doesn't have hardware codec. I used this tutorial and now it works perfect:

        Hi,
I have the same problem. Some mkv files can not be played without lags. So i have to tried bs player and this works fine. Try it.

I think MX PLAYER or dice player is your best choice.

Enabling HW+ decoder in MXPlayer will allow a few optimizations to get hi10p playing better. Seems to crash on my UG802 when trying it though.

Also, you may want to download Adfree or Adaway. LOL

                Use without the +
U just need regular hardware decoding not the plus.

best method with mini pc rock chip is to use native came with device video player i have no issues with playing any mkv mp4 etc.. stop wasting your time with the other players that just lag! i stream from my media server box 1080p to native player i use es file explorer to setup network share to open video if it sais no program for file just hold mouse button down on file list will pop up and choose open file as and choose video and it will let you pick your native works perfectly player or one of the laggy not supported by rock chip players!

The best? its uggly slow and cant handle network streams so whats the point using that.

Mx player is slick fast and one of the best players for our device. And it looks good. Mx player using hardware decoding without the plus.

Use whatever u want. Mx player dont lag at all. ehomedia is crap.

I am using MXPlayer successfully for a lots of video formats. Recently I tried to see the Avatar 3D 1080 MKV version (20GB version)...and it seems that is lagging at every 10 seconds...

                        Newbie here.

Could someone explain to me how I enable hardware decoding without the plus? The only options I see on MX are H/W+ and S/W.

                        Thanks.

                        Edit: I supposed I should add, it's a MK808 running Finless 1.6

Edit 2: Nevermind it appears to automatically choose H/W if you have H/W+ and S/W turned off.
