Be powered by mains as my tv has no usb slot
Play bbc iplayer, 4od, itv player, channel 5. (UK tv)
able to steam over wifi from pc AND mac
able to play from usb hard drive/pen drive
have nice UI
once setup be easy to use so my wife can use it without being taught much.
download from the internet over ftp
install from google app store.
play android games
be remote controlled using mini wireless keyboard and trackpad
be upgradeable as new android versions are released
play lots of file formats including mkv, mp4, xvid..
youtube
netflix
spotify
i know its a lot to ask, but some advice would be reccomended. ive searched all over and i just find generic branded players, nothing that looks capable of all that!
