    Modified tattman65 boot Animation for us MK802 III Owners on Finless v1.7 {Download}

This is for 1080P resolution only and my first attempt at custom boot animation. I left the original credits intact as should be.

I just slighly modded 2dark4u/Finless 1.7 boot animation for us MK802 III users.

It doesn't not shrink down to a smaller boot animation like the stock on in the finless rom. It is fulll screen for the entire boot process.

    Installation..

    1. Download file from link below to your PC or sd card.

    2. Open root explorer. Navigate to /system/media.

    3. Click button at top that says "Mount R/W" It will then read "Mount R/O"

    4. Rename the existing "bootanimation.zip" to something else in case you want to restore it. I changed to "bootanimation.old"

    5. Copy file you downloaded earlier and paste it to your /system/media folder. It must still be named "bootanimation.zip" then set permissions to rw-r--r--

    6. Click the button at the top that says "Mount R/O" to restore Read Only permissions to folder.

    7. Exit root explorer and reboot.

It will reboot the unit with the new animation. I plan on tweaking it some more.

It is a full screen animation and will not shrink down like the stock animation.

One bug that maybe Bob can help me on.......

When the animation first loads it initially starts up with the "UG802" for a second. Not sure where to change that. It is not part of the boot animation file. It then switches to the MK802 III animation for the rest of the boot process.

Standard disclaimer. At your own risk.

    Enjoy and leave feedback please.

    Download.....

just a little fyi i am who made the animation.

motofan has just modded my work .

i don't mind that he did because he had no way of knowing who done it , BUT , he should have dug just a bit deeper to make sure .

        so no harm no foul.

at least he said i left credits intact . but it should have been worded as " this is my first attempt at modding a custom boot animation " cause it's worded as if he made the entire thing .

I should have clarified that in my original post tattman65. I assumed that everyone would know that it is a mod of someone else's work since everyone running the finless bob v1.7 see that screen when they boot. And you know what happens when we assume. LOL My bad.

To others, I just modded his work. I made it where it would be full screen, added MK802 III model to the Jelly Bean jar, and made the animation where the black dots rotate around the Jelly Bean jar during boot process

If I had known whose work it was I would have contacted you first. But in my defense, I did PM Finless Bob about my desires to mod it. I just never received a reply. Another fault of mine. Impatience. I should have given him more time to respond then maybe he would have pointed me your way.

Now if we could get rid of the UG802 on the initial boot. You told me in PM that that portion is built into the boot.img. That is beyond my skill level by far.

Thanks. I meant no harm. As for the UG802 image, perhaps in future builds remove the model number from the boot.img. Make it a generic screen since his ROM runs on a few different units. Then the bootanimation.zip can be model specific if people choose to add.

If you ever need anything tested let me know. I would love to help out the community and give back whenever I can.

                  Hi,

FYI: Setting the permissions to rw-r--r-- does seem to be required.

Thanks. I will modify the instructions that it is required. I thought it would be but didn't try it without.
